And why would you want to do what she would do?
I am a science teacher/world traveler based on the East Coast, USA. I have a knack for researching, adhering to a budget, and still squeezing in some luxury and adventure. I am also a certified Fora Travel Advisor, with a history of making stellar trips happen for others, too!
As a child, I was fortunate to have parents who valued traveling with their only daughter above traditional holiday presents. The travel gene really began to express itself as I worked my way through college and any spare money was immediately dedicated to quick solo jaunts or budget trips with friends to locations that would not initially seem accessible on a spare budget. I became the go-to trip planner after word spread about the 3-week trip I took around the Greek Islands for under $1,000.
After circumnavigating the globe (five out of seven continents, two more to go!) through my twenties and into my thirties, I realized that I was spending all of my free time planning trips - some that I would take, some that I still hope to take, and some at friends' requests - and it occurred to me that something many people see as something to do to get to the vacation is something I love to do in its own right. The gratification that comes from bringing a trip idea from the gritty detail-gathering phase all the way through the getting-to-experience-the-world-in-a-way-that-feels-just-right phase is one of my greatest satisfactions. And I have found that the reward is almost as great when someone else is experiencing the just right that I have provided. Let me plan your trip - I would like to take it someday, too!
